Warning

When pregnancy is detected, discontinue Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide as soon as possible.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to any component of the product
• Anuria
• Co-administration with aliskiren in patients with diabetes

Adverse Reactions

• Upper respiratory tract infection
• Dizziness
• Sinusitis
• Diarrhea
• Fatigue
• Influenza-like symptoms
• Nausea

General Guidance

Initiate patients with biliary obstructive disorders or hepatic insufficiency at 40 mg/12.5 mg.

Pregnancy

• Discontinue use as soon as possible when pregnancy is detected
• Use of drugs that act on the renin-angiotensin system can cause fetal harm

Nursing Mothers

• Advise nursing women not to breastfeed during treatment
• Telmisartan is present in the milk of lactating rats

Pediatric Use

• Safety and effectiveness have not been established in pediatric patients

Geriatric Use

• No overall differences in effectiveness and safety were observed in geriatric patients compared to younger patients
• Dose selection should be cautious, usually starting at the low end of the dosing range
