The MLK F4 Kit is used for various medical procedures, including local or regional anesthesia, analgesia, and skin preparation. It contains a combination of triamcinolone acetonide, lidocaine hydrochloride, bupivacaine hydrochloride, and povidine iodine. The kit is indicated for production of local or regional anesthesia or analgesia for surgery, dental and oral surgery procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and for obstetrical procedures. However, it is contraindicated for obstetrical paracervical block anesthesia and intravenous regional anesthesia. The recommended concentrations and dosages vary depending on the type of block and procedure being performed.
Risk of cardiac arrest with use of bupivacaine hydrochloride in obstetrical anesthesia
Dose adjustments should be made based on the patient's response and the presence of any adverse reactions
0.25% to 0.5% solution, 1 to 60 mL (2.5 to 300 mg)
Not recommended for pediatric patients younger than 12 years
0.5% to 0.75% solution, 10 to 20 mL (50 to 150 mg)
